History

CUNNINGHAM & RIVARD APPRAISALS LTD. was founded in North Vancouver by Fred Cunningham and Larry Rivard in 1967.  The company was sold in 1973, with Fred Cunningham remaining as regional manager.  As the company grew, various offices were established throughout British Columbia, primarily on Vancouver Island.  Upon the retirement of Fred Cunningham in 1978, these offices were offered for sale to the employees.

Our branch of Cunningham & Rivard Appraisals maintains offices in Victoria and Nanaimo.  Al Brown joined the company in 1980 and became a partner in 1986, then retiring in 2017.  Dave Kirk started with the company in 1992 and became a partner in 1993.  Doyle Childs joined the company in 2002, becoming a partner in 2003, then leaving in 2018.  Jason Mikes, Greg Rounis and Simon Wainwright joined the company from 2003 to 2007, becoming partners in 2012.

Through continued growth built on customer service and market demand, Cunningham & Rivard has emerged as one of British Columbia’s largest and most trusted appraisal firms.
